This is a pastel painting of a Grey-Crowned Crane which is found in Africa.
This is a painting of a Wreathed Hornbill. It was done on a 16X20 stretched canvas with the underpainting and background painted in acrylic while the bird was painted in oil. Great subject.
This is a 16X20 canvas painting of a Black-Crowned Night Heron. The background was painted in acrylic and the bird in oil. I photographed the bird years ago at a preserve near Myrtle Beach and finally made time to do the painting.
This spring a Brown Wren took up resident in a little bird house I put up. The house was just for show in my garden but that didn't matter to this little fellow. Painting is 8X10 acrylic on canvas.
This was a commissioned portrait of Copper who passed away. The painting was done in pastel on pastel board.
16X20 pastel portrait of Annie. Owner is moving so we included part of the house Annie grew up in along with the front yard. And she always has a toy in her mouth.
Pastel painting entitled Cherokee. This painting was one of 200 selected for the international online exhibition PURE COLOR for 2017.

This illustration was created for the 5th Edition Biology textbook published by BJ Press. It was juried into the Guild of Nature Science Illustrators members exhibition for 2017.
